A collection of stories first published in the weekly magazine Sunny Stories. The book contains fourteen stories by ten different authors. All the collected stories were written to be read aloud to children, rather than to be read by them and appeared originally within the magazine.

First edition hardback with dustwrapper; blue boards, black blocking; 96pp; colour frontispiece (illustrated); 'Foreword to Parents' by Malcolm Saville; dustwrapper is the same illustration (artist unknown) as the frontispiece with the title across the top and the words 'Edited by Malcolm Saville' at the base.
