A lovely, descriptive piece of prose, poetic in nature, about the South West wind. It was
written in wartime and for adults.
In this way it is presented by Saville in his collection The Country
Scrapbook (pp111,112). It is published under the name D J Desmond and
nowhere does Saville claim authorship.
I think that it may have been originally written for, but not used by, some magazine; perhaps
My Garden.
